Mike Horsnell's profileMike Horsnell's profile

Michael was a staff reporter on The Times for more than 30 years, taking early retirement in 2007 to concentrate on writing and freelancing. His first major assignment was the Cod War in the north Atlantic in 1974 and his last the Ipswich prostitute murders and the Court Martial in Osnabruck of British soldiers for abuse of prisoners in Iraq.

In between he covered numerous stories including major criminal trials and High Court cases. Amongst other experiences he was the journalist who revealed that Libyan Embassy “diplomat” Musa Kusa was threatening to assassinate Libyan dissidents in London. As a consequence Musa Kusa was declared persona non grata and expelled from the UK. Mike began working for Crown 18 months ago and has since been involved in numerous jobs with us.
